Have used an old GPS unit for about the past 15 years and was always a bit sceptical of the range finders as any time I used one of my golfing buddies I couldn't hold the thing still enough to get a distance. Used my Punters V3 range finder for the first time on the weekend and am embarrassed to write how easy it was to lock the thing onto the flag, even with shaky hands. Very simple to use. Great for shooting the flag, but then also carry over bunkers, trees on the corner of the dog leg. Probably should have bought one years ago.

My first punters rangefinder stopped working after 6 months. I emailed customer support, and after a couple of emails back and forth, a new rangefinder was sent out under warranty. Happy with the service, and hopefully, this one will last!

I have purposely delayed providing a review of the V3 range finder so I can confidently and honestly write one after extensive use.
Needed a more accurate measurement so ran the risk of going with the Punters V3 range finder and cannot fault it.
Mates are using the much more expensive types and "the Punters" is spot on with their readings. The V3 picks up flags easily at any distance.
I would highly recommend this range finder after using it for 2 months now playing 3 times a week.

Simple to use. My Punter V3 menacingly red range finder terrifies the pin (and trees once the hozzle comes into play). This is my first range finder, and probably my last as this thing is special. There are many range finders, but this range finder is mine. I now feel one of you, yes…you. Standing on the tee box, together, looking into the distance to be immediately disappointed by the fact I have no idea what club to hit from that range. I love my range finder. I recommend buying the cheap and cheerful metal clip that is akin to poo sticking to a blanket. It comes off, but suitably stubborn to ensure you don’t lose your range finder. Thanks Punter.

Arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Limited use so far on the course. Perhaps younger golfers are steadier, I get many random results and have to check a few times to be reasonably sure measurement is to flagstick. Not sure if shudder control is to be an option but it would sure be helpful. Otherwise great quality at a good price.

Rangefinder never worked from day 1, had fault code showing and would not pick up flag and when it did it was approximately 100m out! Got in touch with Punters but took them about a week to respond. After 2 weeks they've accepted the device is faulty and sending a replacement to me.
Customer service is very poor unfortunately.

Personally I find it hard to pin the flag, when you don't hold you hands steady , it takes a minute to pin the flag , where's my old Bushnell, pins it straight away ,swapping between the Punter's & Bushnell range finder

The finder functions well , however lets itself down with a very hard eye piece which irates the eye.Soft rubber against the eye or a rubber camera rye piece would be heaps better

I had some initial problems getting distances to the flag, but a re-read of the instructions set that straight. Extremely happy with the purchase. I play regularly with guys with far more expensive equipment and our readings are always extremely close if not the same. Can't stop laughing really when they tell me how much they spent.
